KES2008: 12th International Conference on Knowledge-Based Intelligent Information & Engineering Systems

Invited Session : Knowledge-based Creativity Support Systems

September 3-5, 2008, Zagreb, Croatia

Scope of the Session:

The invited session is part of the KES2008 conference. The purpose is to present and discuss researches on knowledge-based creativity support systems for future proactive society. Human's creative problem solving processes are composed of four processes which are divergent thinking, convergent thinking, idea crystallization, and idea verification. Then, the session focuses on support systems which facilitate these creative processes and problem solving activities.

Submission of Paper:

The papers should be submitted through PROSE Online Paper Submission system.

Please note that the required paper (camera ready) length is eight (8) pages in Springer format. Papers longer than this will be subject to a penalty charge. Papers very much longer or shorter than the required length may be rejected.

Please follow the KES2008 guidelines for more information on paper submission. Submission implies the willingness of at least one of the authors to register and present the paper.

Publications:

The papers accepted in the invited session will be expected to be published by the Springer-Verlag Lecture Notes in AI as part of the LNCS series.

Important Dates:

 March 1,  2008

 Submission of  full paper (8 pages) in LNCS format.

 Wednesday April 9, 2008 April 1, 2008

 Acceptance notifications.
We have sent notifications to authors. (April 9, 2008)

 Thursday May 8, 2008 April  20,  2008

 Submission due of a refined paper for secondary-check.
 Please submit the refined paper through KES2008 Invited Session Login (PROSE).
After our formal check, you can proceed to the final step: uploading camera ready data (source files for paper).

 June  1,  2008

 Registration deadline. (All presenting authors must register with payment by 1 June 2008 for their papers to appear in the proceedings.)
